The third show of the Carnival in Cádiz and Almería will be held in the Auditorio Maestro Padilla in Almería, next Saturday, the 8th of July at 09.00

For the third year in consecutive, and given the success of the prior editions, this year will act the first-ranked “Chirigotas y Comparsas” – the disguised groups of Cádiz and Almería.

Cádiz: 1. Joke: Aguafiestas - the “water-festival” (the one disguised as Sheriff comes this year from the police, that’s why they are called the water-festival, and those are the people who make the alcohol controls and ruin your nights, but well … “Don’t worry, it’s a routine control” “when the window opens you have already looked for the safety belt”. This is only one of the many lines that will be presented in these Aguafiestas.

Cádiz, 1. Comparsa: La Caldera (the boiler): The group of Joaquín Quiñones brings us a boiler where there will be burnt all the things which we don’t like in Cádiz. “Let’s pour your anger and empty your troubles” “let’s burn all couplets until everything explodes” “they are promises that I want to be based for always” “Again you have lighted the flame of this foolish lover”. Incredible is the presentation of this group who burn the couplets for Cai. This group is marvellous und that can be seen in the wording of the presentation: it is all written in a homogeneous style and the music is made masterly.

Almería: 1. Comparsas: The refugee of the dammed and the Committee of the Carnival anvil and verse: The Committee senior member of the Carnival of Almeria with a great history of success since the 80ies, this year has reached with a perfect design, decoration and make-up a great success, with a wonderful conjunction of voices that have won practically all prices in the competition in which they have participated.

Almería: 1. Chirigotas: Dinner of the company: the whole truth about the Da Vinci Code of Guadix: This group has made history, and for the first time in the history of our Carnival, a group of another province has made the first price of the Almerian Carnival. They made an extraordinary scene and a surprising characterization, changing just in the middle of there repertoire and finally have managed to compose one of the best potpourri heard during the last carnival.

Like the last year, it will be a dreamful night, and again a chance for east Andalusia to show that the quality of their carnival can keep up with the on in Cadiz.

The nordic tourism disembarcs in the Costa de la Luz with the first direct flight between Finnland and Jerez

The major Finnish tour-operator, Aurinkomatkat, will work on the airport of La Parra from 2007 on through the “good reception” of the province for the clients of the TUI Nordic wholesaler, with activity in Norway, Sweden, Finnland and Denmark, is in contact with the regional authorities in order to establish activities in Cádiz.

Within the next year the Costa de la Luz will approach the Nordic tourism market with the incentive of the first Finnish tour-operator, Aurinkomatkat. The company, dedicated to the organization and selling of vacations, confirmed yesterday that they will connect the airports Helsinki and Jerez with direct flights from 2007 on. There will be established a weekly connection with 144 seats between the airports Helsinki and La Parra in the months from May to October. The manoeuvre is prepared to transport up to 3.500 travellors to the province, more than 100% of the Finnish people who come to the province every year.

Aurinkomatkat decided to disembark in the terminal Jerez because of the good results that have been registered on the Costa de la Luz from the clients this year. The wholesaler will bring for the first time travellors to Cadiz, although via the airport of Málaga, with long trips and therefore annoying for the tourists. The inconveniences however didn´t prevent that the sales go in good rhythm and, only in hotels of Rota there are more than 600 of 1000 Finnish people expected. “With the flights to Malaga you cannot estimate the real potential of the Costa de la Luz in Finnland; but this year we have seen that it can work and therefore the bet of Aurinkomatmat is to fly to Jerez the next year”, pointed out representatives from TUI Spain, who will receive the Finnish people in the province.
