Carnival is celebrated from 2nd to 5th of March

Local Carnival will be celebrated from Thursday the 2nd until Sunday de 5th of March. The inaugural address will be held by Manolo Cornejo, the director of the “chirigota del Love”(Chirigota is a typical sort of music of Cádiz), which will be named “Los pischas de Cádiz” this year.

On this occasion the festivity will be dedicated to “La Florista”, according to the Area Councillor, Antonio Perez, a “carnival character par excellence”, who died last November. The poster, a work of the painter Jologa, will be presented this Saturday at half past one p.m. in the “Patio de Columnas del Palacio Municipal”. The Town Council will distribute it two weeks later, on Saturday the 11th of February, in the Chirigota Club “Los juancojones”.
